Meeting was held at the Christian Family Baptist Church and was called to order at 7:30 PM by President, Gabe Lara

Old Business

Minutes for the Apr 16, 2024 meeting were read ad approved.

Treasurer’s report was read and approved

Discussion about the proposed mini-roundabouts on Silver Maple was opened. Concern about the school buses being able to navigate the roundabouts was raised in addition to the long gravel trucks. Gabe explained that the curbs would be such that they could drive over them. Some of those present felt that speed bumps would be more effective. It was explained that we had tried but that there must be sidewalks before we can have speed bumps and putting in sidewalks was not feasible due to the cost.

It was suggested that we petition the County Commissioner for the speed bumps and that they should be on every street that connects from Grosenbacher to Silver Maple. A couple of people offered to help with the petition and getting signatures. It was also mentioned about going to the Bexar County Sherriff, KSAT, and asking where the requirement for sidewalks before getting speed bumps is written as there are several streets in San Antonio with speed bumps and no sidewalks.

New Business

The deed restrictions were extended forever and not everyone knows about them. It was suggested to hand out copies with the petition for speed bumps and secure contact information at the same time.

Open Forum

It was suggested that signs at street corners about POA issues might help get people involved

Gabe is going to try and get more agencies involved in our meetings

As we are a non dues paying POA and have expense, it was suggested that at each meeting, we reinstate the jar asking for donations. It was asked if there was a way for a member to set up an autopay to the POA’s account at Security Service. Linda will check it out.

It was also suggested that we do another garage sale to raise money and to send out an email to see if there was any interest. It was pointed out that Potranco Automotive currently has construction going on and may not be available and that we needed help from other members and not just the same ones that did all the work before.

Gabe complimented the clean up work that Texas Water Utilities did in our subdivision.
